Hello listers One of my ancestors, William Beavis Randell and his Family sailed on the 'HARTLEY' which left Torquay, England on 11th May 1837. The Ship had originally left on the voyage from Gravesend, London The HARTLEY arrived at Kangaroo Island in South Australia on 20th October 1837. I would be interested in making contact with anyone whose ancestors were on the same ship. Many thanks Jean in Torquay, England
Hi Judy, I'm not sure if it is the same ship, but an "Emma Eugenia" made four trips to Tasmania bringing convicts, in 1841, 1843, 1846 and 1850. Hi everyone, I am new to this list and thought I'd post my surname interests. I am trying to obtain family information on Mary (Minnie) WHELAN, who was born around 1857-1862 , apparently in either Braidwood, New South Wales or Raywood. A whimsical woman, she changed her age and place of birth on each of the 2 birth certificates I have ordered for her children. I am planning to order the other 3, hoping for more consistency. As the name Mary WHELAN is fairly common, my search for her birth has not been successful yet. Minnie married George KITTERINGHAM, son of William KITTERINGHAM and Sarah ENGLAND of Poplar, London, England on 18 Mar 1886 in Geelong, although I have not been able to find a record of the marriage on the indexes. If anyone has any links to the above persons, I would love to share information with you. Warm regards, Pat, Toronto, Canada

Hi Elaine, I don't know what the boundaries were, but it was around the area Sandy Bay occupies now. The old Queenborough Cemetery was there, but most of the land is now the Hutchins School sports fields. There are a few of the old headstones in a small lawn area on Peel Street. For those researching ancestors in Germany the following may help - geo@genealogy.net Add nothing to the subject line and nothing to the body except for the town you are searching in. ONLY the town name. It relates to towns in what is now modern Germany i.e. if your town is in what is now Prussia, it will not work.
