Hi List, Can anyone tell me a web site where I may find history on the LightHouse at Cape Schank Victoria (when built and Light house Keepers etc). Just found out my ggrandmother was born at Cape Schank 1847, but I am wondering what would have been there other than perhaps the lighthouse back then. As there is not a lot there to-day. Have asked at local library but no book to tell me. Thank you for any help. If she was born at sea at this point would it have been place of birth Cape Schank or born at sea? Regards Roy
Hi List, Would anyone be able to tell me if there is any sites, you can Subscribe to for Tasmania and Western Australia records, or members help. Regards Roy

My great grandmother was "Fanny Wiseman" who started on the Colonial stage in 1854 with her sister Emily Louisa Mary Ann Wiseman. Later their brother Richard Benjamin and sisters Alice Allen Wiseman and Laura Wiseman followed. NOW I am trying to find decendants of the above sibblings. Frances Jane married William Thomas South and had 8 surviving children Emily Louisa Mary Ann married John Walloxall and had 4 children Richard Benjamin - nothing much known of him Alice Allen - same applies Laura married a Michael Anderson and had at least one son Michael Would like to hear from anyone with connections to this family. Joy in West Oz.
This rumour circulates every now and again that is for sure. Been on ICQ for quite a number of years and every now and again this "question / and or/ statement" arises - nothing to date has ever changed. Joy in West Oz.
Why not just use another service like Yahoo Messenger. June

When I was growing up in Melbourne (teens), Caulfield Hospital was a Convalescent hospital, mainly I think for the Alfred Hospital. The Alfred is still going strong but last time I drove past the old Caulfield Convalescent, it had been changed. A friend recently sent me this site to browse through. It is regarding the Debt Of Honour Register of all service people who died in World War 1 and 2. I found it very sad to see how many people died so young. http://yard.ccta.gov.uk/cwgc/register.nsf Diana Sydney
I have a ggg -Alexander CAMPBELL who drowned on 25 December 1846 - he is buried at Mortis St Old Cemerty Goulburn (no headstone) and is late of Frogs Hole. Two questions - one does Frog Hole still exsist in the Goulburn area. two: you would think there would have been an inquest - if so does anyone know where that would have taken place and by who and records kept? Interesting he drowned and was buried on the same day - what were the newspapers around at that time and how could I 'look up' to see if he rated a mention? with many thanks Colleen Central Coast
While on the subject of foot running, how about a medal V.A.A.A. 5 mile jnr 1915 won by W Whittley which i have in my poss, inherited from me dad who could not run out of sight on a foggy nite and was only born then. does anyone av W WHITTLEY in there tree >Much as I'd prefer VJRFA which might suggest Victorian Junior Rugby Football >Association <G> one might have to guess at Victorian Junior Foot Racing >Association which suggests a forerunner of Athletics Victoria (it claims to >have a 100+ year history). Today I received a death cert for a James Walker WALLACE. He died Feb 1913 at Peak Hill aged 50 from heart failure resulting from a blow received in a fight. The cert days 'Inquiry Peak Hill, 11 Feb 1913. Does this mean there was an inquest and if so how could I go about getting hold of the results from the coroners? Colleen Central Coast NSW
Hoping someone on the list sees a connection between their and my CAMPBELLS. My CAMPBELLS arrived 25.12.1846 on The British King. Alexander and Grace (nee McDonald) CAMPBELL and children Flora, Catherine, Isabella, Archibald, John, Alexander, Grace, Luisa and John. I am following the Grace line but am very interested in what became of her siblings. Is there anyone out there with any connections? Colleen Central Coast NSW

Hi all Listers - chose to go to the wider community with this one. Annie RUSSELL was born in Newstead, Vic, and lived there with her family until 1895. An article in the Tarregower Times (which I shall, of course, view and print out) features a Farewell for Miss A Russell. At age 24 I guess marriage - not a lot of females pursued further education, governess is possible. If anyone has a connection to said Annie, I would love to hear from you. I shall report back after my visit to State Library next week should there be any other information of interest. cheers, Nandina
