I do not know of any list of associates of Thunderbolt, but I do know that lots of new England families abound with Thunderbolt stories. If he met with, played cards with, drank with etc all the people he is supposed to have done he was a very busy, very social person. Elizabeth A. Roberts N.S.W. I am searching for information on the family of Joseph Rowan. His grand daughter Mrs. Margaret Kane supplied information to the book "Aspects of Early Blackwood". This information was in regard to "Little Doaty's grave". I would be interested to hear from any branch of that family, or anyone who could put me in touch with Mrs. Mary Kane. I would like to share information regarding the history of the Rowan family in Australia. Eileen Sullivan Kyabram
many emails coming to the list under my name have actually been sent by Joy Bell thru me as she is having trouble with her server. She can receive but not send to the lists for some obscure reason. Would anyone reading an email which appears to come from me, please check the bottom to see if it has Joy's address there, and reply directly to her. Many thanks Denise McMahon ###################################### Denise Marriott McMahon - ex Melbourne 21 years Brisbane Queensland - Searching - CONWAY - County Clare and N.E. Okay folks, This has gone far enough. This topic is closed ! Right now. Everyone knows what copyright means, and we all know that is is okay to look things up as a SKS ... and we all know too that in the real world friends lend each other their bike. We also know that it's not okay to copy or make money out of others' property ... and none of the contributors need to be reminded of these things, so I understand why some of them would feel insulted if this was suggested. Let's leave it at that ... this is a focused Conference of Australia History .. if you need to talk about copyright or any other arrangement regarding "sharing" stuff, don't do it here. I also note somewhere that somebody suggested that you can just unsubscribe and rejoin this Conference again ... you goota be kiidi' ... now I am the one who is insulted .... not so .. I monitor this list with a light hand, in the background ... I don't do the dirty washing in public ... but rest assured, if YOU get terminated from here, not only do you NOT come back, your execution will be swift and sure ... you will not be told ... but others will, and your name will be mud all over Australia and the Internet, as others have found to their chagrin. Let me just try this again, in case anyone has misunderstood .. THIS MATTER IS CLOSED .. if you need to talk between yourselves, go for it, if you would like to talk to me about my decision, just send me an email. Hey ... it's another great day in Australia ... I know, I got back this morning from a week in Jakarta ... let's get on with enjoying the Conference of Austalian History. Regards, john snelson listowner and moderator ... John, I was only trying to help. No one had been unsubbed by you that we know of. Rootsweb had been having problems and people were just starting to ask why weren't they getting email. As this had happened in the past to me where a couple of Rootsweb Lists weren't getting through to me and others just had about 2 or 3, I got frustrated and did what I do with my computer when I get error messages (I just shut it down and then re-open it and the problems are gone) So I unsubbed from your list and two others and resubbed and everything worked fine again. So I was only trying to give helpful advise. Guess when you get flamed by the List Administrator then it is time to really un-sub for good. Those who want my weekly URL's can get them still from GENANZ where the List Owner doesn't use double standards.
