    3. Hi Listers Am back after a break and thought I might post my interests again. I am searching for Robert ARMSTRONG, James ARMSTRONG & Hugh ARMSTRONG. All were born in Ireland and came to Australia in 1841with their parents James & Elizabeth ARMSTRONG on the ship "Helen". Robert was born in 1831, James born 1833 & Hugh born 1840. James & Elizabeth and family lived in Sydney for some time before moving to Young , N.S.W. The three boys spent a lot of time on the "Lambing Flats" (Now Young) goldfields and I believe moved on to the goldfields in Victoria. I would be interested in hearing from anyone else researching any of these ARMSTRONG'S. Allan On the Central Coast of N.S.W. Australia. E-Mail. joalarm@ozemail.com.au

    2. Fergus Farrow
    3. I am seeking information on BORROWS/ROBINSON who moved from New South Wales into Victoria in 1830's or 1840's and settled in the Avenel/Mangalore district in the Goulburn Valley. There was later a BORROWS/FERGUSON marriage in 1866 and I understand that many of the Ferguson descendants of that marriage later settled in the Riverina region of New South Wales, especially around Temora. My grandmother was Margaret Dixon (Doll) Ferguson, b 1877, m John Farrow in 1899 in Mangalore, and who lived subsequently in the Kyneton district of Victoria until around the early 1950'5s and then lived in Melbourne. 1. ROBERTS Family - BALLARAT 1852 - 1866
    2. Cherie Everett
    3. Hello Everyone, I am new to the list and a relative novice to tracing family history. I wonder whether someone can point me in the right direction to find information ? My great-grandfather John ROBERTS (1813 -1879) born in North Wales, UK , arrived in Sydney, Australia in 1852 on the " IRENE". He married a Mary COMMINS (1828 - 1866), in St. Alipius Church, Ballarat 1860. They had two children Annie ROBERTS (1861 - 1914) and John ROBERTS (1863 - 1885). Following the death of their mother in 1866 the children came to the UK. I have found the children on the 1871 census living with relatives in North Wales, UK. I have managed to obtain copies of all relevant birth, death and marriage certificates. Can anyone help or advise on the following:- 1) Nationality of my grandmother Annie ROBERTS and her brother. 2) Would they be termed as "immigrants" to the UK. 3) How do I find the "port","ship" and passenger list that brought them to UK between 1866 & 1871? Thanking all in anticipation. Regards - Cherie
