    1. [AUST] Wearin
    2. To All who have helped me thus far. THANK YOU I know there was a great deal of confusion and speculation about John Wearin born 1839 in Wollongong to John (b. 1807) and Harriett, who married Anne Elizabeth Thacker in 1862 and John Wearin who in 1860 married Bridget Nowlan. The John Wearin who married Bridget was born 1837 in England to Joseph and Frances (Fanny) Wearin. I know Fanny Wearin went to Australia and died in 1868 in Redfern. I am looking for information on Joseph Wearin. I particular, I would like to be able to learn whether Joseph Wearin died in Australia and whether he and John (1807) were brothers. Thank you Diane

    1. [AUST] Wearin
    2. Looking for information on John Wearin born abt 1837 in England to Joseph Wearin and Frances Bentley. Joseph Wearin was a Laborer. John Wearin went to Australia sometime before 1857 when he and Bridget Nowlan had their first child. (I have a list of their children). They married in 1860. Also looking for information on a different John Wearin who was born in 1807 in Chester, England and married Harriett Windell. He went to Australia in 1836 as a Colour Sergeant with the 80th Regiment. Later became Inspector of Police. (I have a list of their children) (Looking for his parentage or any information on Harriett). Could this John Wearin and the above Joseph Wearin, be brothers? Would any records be available that might answer this question? Thank you for all you help thus far. Diane
