Hi, I'm helping a friend looking for his relations somewhere in Western Australia. Looking for anyone who is related or may know of Esme(a) DARGIE. I am not sure if she married or if she is still living but would love to hear from anyone who knows of her or knew of her. She would have been born in the late 1800's to early 1900's. Many thanks Lyn
Does anyone have a copy of the SMH dated May 13, 1844? Apparently on Page 2, column 5 there is a reference to John Wearing, Inspector of Police. I would like very much to learn what this article is in reference to. Thank you Diane
I am seeking the whereabouts of the descendants of Claudius J. [Claude] POWTER and Stella I. [nee BYRNES], who married 1916, Sydney. Claude J. was born in Orange. I have details of Claude's father and grandfather. There are plenty of POWTER in Orange, NSW but nobody seems to know about my POWTER connection. There does not seem to be any sign in NSW of Claude and Stella after their marriage. Not even the deaths of same. Is there Some Kind Soul who would kindly lookup the B D & M Q'land, from 1916 on for any issue of the above for me, please? I would appreciate that very much, thank you. Regards, Mary [Byrnes] Shortis [email protected]

Could someone please see if they could find a marriage for John Wearin and Harriett Wintle (possibly Windell) somewhere between October 1835 and 1838. I know during that period he was at Illawarra serving as a colour sergeant. Also that their first child, Elizabeth, was born in 1837. Thank you Diane
