    2. Fay Bennett
    3. Dear Listers I am a fellow genealogist from Cambridge, England and am trying to track down as much information as I can about my ancestor who emigrated to Australia in the early 1900s. His name was ALFRED JAMES MARSHALL and I have found a possible entry for him on the "Unassisted Immigration to Victoria - Index of Inward Passenger Lists for British and Foreign Ports 1852-1911" on the Public Record Office of Victoria website. It reads as follows: MARSHALL, Alfred, age 28, April 1910, Ship - Orvieto, Port - B, Fiche 801, Page 004. His last address was in Roberts Road, Subiaco, WA and died there on 1st March 1970 aged 88 years and his ashes (and those of his immediate family) were scattered in the memorial garden of Karrakatta Cemetery. He was married to LILY ETHEL MARSHALL who died on 16th March 1982 aged 96 and they had one daughter, EVELYN LILY who was married to SYDNEY OWEN DYSON. Evelyn died on 28th November 1995 aged 86 and Sydney died on 4th March 1993 aged 86. I would be very grateful if someone could do a look up for me on the Unnassisted Immigration to Victoria Index and verify the above entry. I would also be eager to hear from anyone who may have a connection to him or his family. With kind regards, Fay Bennett Cambridge, UK

    2. Coralie D. Hird
    3. I am pleased to announce that a cheque for $1000 has been donated to the St. Matthews Anglican Church Cemetery Fund and a smaller donation to Windsor High School as a result of the excess funds raised from the Hawkesbury Homecoming Reunion held in November last year. As this event was not organised as a money making event the residual funds had to be disposed of and the organising committee consisting of Lesley Uebel, Coralie Hird and Norma and Ian McLean decided that the two organisations above should be those to benefit from the profit made from this reunion. I realise that it is now many months since the reunion, however we had to wait for the deposit on the hall to be returned before finalising the accounts. Regards, Coralie Hird
