I am researching the Davis Austin line. I have that Davis Austin, b.1780 GA - d.1850-2 in Butler Co. AL, and m. Eleanor Hill on 1-12-1816 GA, b.GA, possibly in Albany Co. or Clark Co., and daughter of Benjamin Hill. Davis' father was Davis Austin, b. between 1730-40 in SC, d. 1788 GA and m. Mary Ann Forsyth, d. 1797 in Liberty Co. GA. She was the daughter of John Forsyth and Mary L. Falconer and grandaughter of Stephen Tomlinson Falconer and Mary Hall. Stephen Falconer's father was William Falconer. Davis' father was Bartholomew Austin, b.1715 - d. 1775, Craven Co. SC and m. Elizabeth ?, d. 1799 in Fairfield Co. SC. Batholomew's father was William Austin, d.1765 SC and married Elizabeth ?. My Questions: Is anyone else working on this line? I'd like to hear from you. I'm looking for the last names of the two Elizabeth wives. Is there a will or some other documentation that proves Bartholomew to be William's son. If anyone can help me out with any information, I would appreciate it.
