I have William Henry Harrison Austin b. 1840 in Albemarle County, Virginia, m. Christena E. S. Wood in1864 also in Albemarle. William's parents were Samuel and Mildred Austin. In a will of Hezekiah Wood, filed in Albemarle County in 1852, it names a daughter, Harriet Austin, and grandson, Samuel Austin. Christena Wood's parents were David Wood and Sarah A. Webb, all of Albemarle. David's brother James also married into the Austin family, marrying Rebecca Marshall, a daughter of Eleanor Austin and William Marshall. It also appears that David's son, Christopher C. Wood married Lizzie Austin, the sister of WHH Austin. Do you have any information on these families...particularly Samuel Austin? They appear to be related to the Calvert County Maryland Austin's, Marshalls, and Wood's but I'm having trouble getting it all sorted out! Thanks for all your help, everyone!
