Helen, I know we've corresponded before, but don't know if we've exchanged this info. I have a Joseph Austin, son of Bartholomew and Elizabeth Austin of Fairfield Co. SC. Joseph is mentioned in both of their wills - Bartholomew's was proved in 1771 and Elizabeth's in 1803. Their property was located between Little River and Broad River. As far as I've been able to determine, Bartholomew and his family were the only Austins in Fairfield Co. during this time period. Carolyn Cooper
