Resided in Brunswick Co., VA in 1744 and 1745 (tax rolls). Then in Lunenburg Co., VA and part became Halifax and Pittsylvania Co, VA later by 1767 (the latter) I believe. Richardson Austin may have married an Ann Heard (???) in VA...this line may have gone to GA. Joseph managed the estate and inherited the land in VA from his father, John Austin who died by 1759 Lunenburg Co., VA.! snip... My line has two of Stephens sons lines. From Stephen backwards; Stephen > and Dorcas Pinson, John Jr. and Mary McBee, John Sr. and Hannah Love, > Robert Austin and unknown wife.. > Now... my questions.... I descend from Allen AUSTIN, 1805 - aft 1870 (Jackson Co., AL). MO Nancy AUSTIN Phoebe AUSTIN, abt 1794 - 1840/50, DeKalb Co., AL Another source sent me information beginning with William AUSTIN & Milly, listing the same children with the exception of Joseph and Phoebe. This source listed my Allen AUSTIN of Jackson Co. AL as one of the illegitimate sons of Elizabeth (Betsy) AUSTIN of Anderson Co., TN.
