Hi, my line of descent is from son Stephen Austin b. 1769 VA who married Rebecca Hankins of Pittsylvania Co., VA in 1800..This Stephen is also Joseph's son by the way!! You didn't mention him in your note...did you have him listed on your lineage chart? TXJEAN...Stephen and Rebecca left VA for NC or at least wound up in Rutherford Co., TN by a later date then listed in this county in 1840 census then in Bedford Co., TN in 1850 census...Stephen's dau. Eliza Ann Austin married Wm. Wilson Dearing/Dering..(Lineage of Nicholas Dering to America)..Isle of Wight and Orange Co, VA Dearing/deering family lines...Smith, Dearing, Hankins, Covingtons, Austins are my connections...to TN and later in TX..TXJEAN
