AUSTIN of Huntsville, AL (Madison Co,) I finally found the book I referred to earlier at the Huntsville Library today, It is, "Marriages Deaths and Legal Notices from Early Alabama Newspapers" by Pauline Jones Gandrud c 1981, published by So. Hist. Press. at Easley, SC. there are three references for Thomas or Tom. I earlier sent the marriage notice for Thomas M. J. I have para-phrased the notices. 1. Hunstville Mercury (was the Advocate) June 11, 1892. Telegram received by W. J. Potts of Helena Ark., that Tom E. Austin had been killed at that place the day before. Mr. Austin was a brother of Mrs. A. L. Blunt. 2. Huntsville Republican, Dec 25, 1819, Died suddenly at Ditto's landing on the 19th instant, Mr. Thomas Austin one of the oldest settlers in this county (Madison, AL).
