There is in the census of 1840,1850, georgia, cobb county, a thomas austin listed. I,too, am researching Austins of Georgia. You may want to look at Gwinnett County, this is county Cobb was formed from. Cobb formed in 1832. I am looking for Parents of James J. Austin,B.1822,georgia, and wife Martha B. 1822 Ga. I believe I have found mine. It is just a matter of confirmation which may take a while. Any info back past 1830 is hard to confirm. thanks
