I am so glad you replied to my query on the Austin List of yesterday. I do not know if he is related to my John C. Austin b 1831 TN, but we do have similar problems. Also it is likely that the parents of both Johns came from SC or VA or NC, so perhaps we can help each other as we search for ancestors ? I have a clue for you about the wife of your John AUSTIN. I also had RODGERS/ROGERS familie who came into Marshall Co, AL (Sand Mountain farming community) and some came to Walker Co, who may or may not be the same families. I did find a source for my Jeremiah RODGERS who was from ANDERSON Co, SC and before that from VA. There is a book published on this family. I will need to reply to you privately about the RODGERS and the reference, since this list is primarily for AUSTIN references. But, look at the Jones O. Rodgers who was in Franklin and then Lawrence Co, AL. Thanks for the message and keep in touch.
