George AUSTIN was born in 1859 in Linn County, Missouri. His parents were Michael AUSTIN, who died c. January 1866 and Mary Dover, who died in c. 1860. He was baptized at age 6 (in 1866) in Linn County. He may have died prior to 1868, the year his step-mother, Martha Elizabeth MCKAMIE AUSTIN, died. Or, may have been raised by a KELLY family in Kansas City, MO after his step-mother died. So far the leads I've followed have not panned out.
