I am trying to make the connection between Andrew Jackson ( my gggrandfather) and John A Auston of Alabama. They are about the same age both b. around 1810. They were in Barbour CO during the same time frame ( John pruchased land and A. J was married) then both families eventually migrated to Geneva CO., AL. John A also named a son Andrew Jackson. COuld they be brothers? Andrew Jackson was also a memeber of the 3rd batn. reserves CSA and said that his reseidence was Washington CO., GA. ( shich actually wasn't, but he could have lived there before moving to Barbour CO.) IS anyone researching Austons of that area?
