    1. William Austin of Maryland
    2. Also have some information on a William Austin. Thought it might be Barth's father but his will was probated in Kent County, Maryland. Date of William's would be around June 22, 1697. His wife was Elizabeth (what other name would you have expected). 1/2 of the plantation went to his son William when he became 21, Eliazabeth got residue for her life, then balance went to William. Another son was John and there were also some "daus"?, I took to mean some unnamed daughters. This came from Maryland Calendar of WIlls, Vol III, p. 94, Compiled and edited by Jane Baldwin, published for Clearfield Inc. by Genealogical Publishing Inc., Baltimore Md. There is also another William Austin in Amelia County Virginia who sold some property to a Richard Echols on March 18, 1742. The Court document noted that William was from Hanover County, Virginia and that the deed could not be official until William's wife Catharine, released her dower. This is from Deed Book 1, Amelia County Virginia, also by Mid-South Publishing (see Barth. Austin post). Just thought someone might be interested. Bob Austin
