Been following the list for a while and have not seen any mention of Austins in the West. My husband is descended from a William Thomas Austin who lived in Clyde, Texas. He was married to Maude Rice from Illinois and they had several children: William Thomas, Junior( my husband's father ); Mary Virginia Austin, Florence Austin Haas and Harold Austin. The family folklore suggests that William Thomas came from Georgia and I remember some years ago that my father-in-law attended an Austin reunion in Georgia somewhere. He mentioned a cousin Henry who lived in Monroe,Georgia but I have not been able to locate Henry. Any one who knows of a connection I would appreciate a line. Thanks.
