My Austins are all from NY... Job Austin, b. 1822 m. Eliza _ and lived in Putnam County, NY. Their children were: William, b. 1844 Effey or Effie, b. 1846 Gilbert (my ggg grandfather), b. 1848, d. 1937 Peter, b. 1853 They were all listed in the NY census of 1850 and 1860. Effie m. George Booth and they had a daughter, Melissa Booth. Gilbert m. Phoebe Jane Russell, (b. 1848, d. 1914) in 1868 in Putnam Valley NY. They were my great grandmother's parents. Their children were: Sarah Austin, b. 4/28/1867; d. 10/6/1951 m. Cornelius Perry, b. 1860; d. 1939 Etta Austin, who married a Barrett and a Kniffen Hannah Austin, b. 1888; d. January 2, 1990, m. Alexander Collard Levinia Austin, b. 1874; d. 1958, m. Isaac Tompkins. These are my great- grandparents. George Austin Charles Austin who married his cousin, Melissa Booth, dau of his Aunt Effie.
