I recently joined the list and am waiting patiently to see some postings regarding Australian or UK Austins - they all appear to be from USA. Michael Austin posted his lot, so I thought I would start the ball rolling with a query from down under: My GGGrandfather Charles Rudland Austin b. c1841, Rotherhithe, (near London)UK (came to Australia and started our family here) his father Edward Vaughan Austin, b. 21/8/1811, Surgeon to the Royal Kent Dispensary for the the Rotherhithe area lived at 3 Walker Place, Lower Rd, Rotherhithe m. Sarah Maria Rudland, I can not trace her on the IGI - anyone suggest how I can track her down? Edwards parents, according to IGI: Robert Nelson Austin and Catharine Vaughan There is a John Austin and Jane listed as parents of Robert Neslon Austin on the IGI, but thats as far as I got - any suggestions now, or anybody have the same people in their tree?
