Searching for the parents of John C. Austin b 1831 in TN or AL and his sister, Nancy Ann Austin Lott. Austin !BIRTH-DEATH: Exact dates and places are not known. variations on the census are from Oct 1821 SC (1900 census); 1828 AL (1880 census); 1826 TN (1870 census); 1822 AL (1860 census); 1826 TN (1850 census). Parents birthplace shown on 1880 census as AL, AL; but on 1900 census is shown as SC, NC.   !FAMILY: Because of her residence and close relationship with the Lott/Edwards family and her birthplace and age, and because there were no other Austins in Southern Morgan Co, AL during the period of 1850-1880, an assumption by this research, Helen Austin, is made that Nancy was probably the sister of John Calhoun Austin who was born 1831in TN. Nancy was born 1824 in TN. However, the researcher is aware that this might not be true and could be proven to be a false assumption.   !MARRIAGE: Morgan Co, AL Marriage Book. An annual Lott reunion is held at Livingston Chapel Church each September.
