    3. Austin Families Association of America is pleased to announce that at www.afaoa.org in Northern Austin databases, we have a new 747 individual database, "NY Thomas and Esther Austin". The New York Thomas and Esther Austin extended family has had an extensive presence on Long Island (Suffolk County - Huntington, Amityville, ...); Westchester County (Yonkers, West Farms, Morrisania); and in many Hudson River communities. In 1874, West Farms and Morrisania became part of New York City. Over the last few years, there have been many queries from descendants of this line, many frustrated by not finding their ancestors in the John Austin of Stamford, Connecticut line, whose descendants, in many cases, have lived side-by-side with Thomas and Esther's family in many of these same Hudson River communities. Also in Northern Austins, we have updates to " Richard Austin of Charlestown, MA, 1638". In Southern Austins, there is an update to the "NC William and Ruth Austin" line. Several new lines have been added to the Northern Unplaced Austins. The descendants of William Austin, a CT seaman, who migrated to Huron/Erie County, Ohio as a first settler, and New Jersey born brothers Cornelius and Jonah Austin who migrated through Lyons, Wayne Co., NY to Oakland and Van Buren counties, Michigan. If you are unsure of your Austin ancestors, come visit our Master Index. It indexes not only our Northern and Southern Austins, but also our Northern and Southern Unplaced Austins.
