M. was probably a child living with his parents at that time. Barry Sempsrott officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mr. Austin, who died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital, was born Jan. 4, 1947, in Mobile (AL) to T.M. and Mattie Austin. He was a Vietnam War veteran and a member of Sixteenth Avenue Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, John M. Austin, Jr., and Jeff Austin, both of Decatur, and one grandson, Logan Austin.
