Hello list, After many years I have found the parents of my Robert P Austin born April 1852. the 1860 census shows his parents as Hiram J Austin born about 1829 Virginia and Martha born about 1831 TN. Robert P. is the only child (Alexander Co. IL) By 1860 Robert is on his own (Alexander Co.,IL) I found that about 1863 both his parents had died ( guardianship was given to his uncle William Parrott). I believe the wifes were sistters but cant prove at this point. the date of birth for Robert P in the guardianship papers match that of my Robert P, also the papters state that about 1870 he went to live in Tennesse ( where he lived and died). So now that I have found Roberts parents, I am stuck again on Hiram J Austin and Martha. I suspect that Marthas parents were Charles born NC and Elizabeth born NC.. but again I cant prove this. As for Hiram I cant located him in 1850. I have not been able to locate a marriage record or death record for Hiram or Martha Robert P married first Frances Pitt and second Mrs, Florida Cooke. Would appreciate contact with anyone with information. Michele
