The September 2004 issue of the Austins of America Genealogical Society Newsletter, which I received today, says on the last page (!) that a DNA test proved that a nephew of Edith Austin Moore was not descended from Robert Austin of Kingston, RI. Since this is rather a startling bit of news, I hope that some follow-up infomation could be provided to people, such as me, who based their descent from Robert Austin on Mrs. Moore's book. Is it known when and where the disconnect ocurred? If we are not descended from Robert, how many of the Jeremiah's were? I hope that we can receive further information soon, or at least a report on what progress is being undertaken to answer our concerns. Carl Hommel
