Hi, all, Continuing with some descendants of Benjamin & Sarah Ellis Austin of Burke Co., NC, and of Blount & Hardin Cos., Tennessee through their son, Samuel Alvis Austin & his wife, Mary Jane Brigance (pronounced brig-GAN-sie). Benjamin, Sarah, Samuel A. & Mary J., along with several of Samuel & Mary J. Brigance Austin's children are buried at Shady Grove Cemetery #2, Saltillo, Hardin Co., TN. It must be noted that the only Austins buried at Shady Grove #2 are Benjamin & Sarah, Samuel & Mary Jane and several of the latter couple's children. Austin, b. 1846; d. 1864; d.s.p. David W. (Walter?) Austin, b. 1847; d. aft. 1884, prob. MO?; m. Martha Ann Campbell, b. 1845, Hardin Co., TN, dau. of Samuel P. & Frances D. Campbell; d. 1930, Beaumont, Jefferson Co., TX. David W. was a carpenter. David W. & Martha Campbell Austin had children: Mary A. Austin, b. 1870 Ida F. Austin, b. 1872 Elizabeth Leona "Lee" Austin, b. 1877, Ripley Co., Missouri, the daughter of David W. & Martha Ann Campbell; d. unk.; m. (Christian?) "Chris" Benson, b. 1871 in Denmark. (Several lines of descendants) Howard Walter Austin, b. 1878, Ripley Co., MO; d. 1963, McLennan Co., TX; m. Rena Margaret A. "Maggie" Culverhouse, dau. of William & Rena Maggie Horton Culverhouse Howard was a carpenter. (Descendants continued in Pt. 3) Samuel T. Austin, b. 1848; d. 1868; d.s.p.
