New info online at Tennessee.gov   The TN Archives has a new database of the early State legislative records from 1799-1812.  Not seen heretofore on the internet. I looked at all the indices for Austins and found 2.  The first one, I think is the John Austin of the 1850 census of McMinn Co, TN.  The second one is a Joseph Austin of Jefferson and Hawkins Co, TN.  Could he be the one from SC that Pat mentioned in her recent posting to the AUSTIN Genforum.com  ? 1. date 1829  #155, McMinn Co, TN     John Austin, jailer, Petition asking for fees as a jailer.                                     statements of Arch Turk, Barnard Seay, James Earle, Spencer B....                                                                             2.date 1813  Jefferson/Hawkins Co, TN,  #11, session 2, Joseph Austin is indexed Case: Daniel Treadway is asking for a divorce from his wife, Rebecca E.
