    3. I am looking for the wife and possible children of William Austin b 1831 PA, a soldier in the Civil War, Union of MO. He was a stage driver for an express company, and was living in Canyon City, Fremont Co, CO in 1880 census. He might have run a stage line from Colorado City to the Silver and Lead mines, or a stage line from Canyon City by the Royal Gorge, west to Salt Lake City or California. > >At any rate, he was living in Ukiah City, CA before 1887 and worked for a >"famous" stageline owner at that time, by the name of "Doc" Davis. They had a >serious wreck with a stage and team of 6 horses 13 miles north of Ukiah, at a >place called Blue Slide. A landslide came about and nearly killed William. > >He survived and entered the Pacific National Home for Disabled Volunteer >Soldiers in 1897. It was in LA. He died there in 1901 and was buried in the Home >Cemetery. > >I am trying to find out more about Williams wife who was deceased before 1880, >and any possible children. Also need to know about this parents who were born in >PA. I can't find him on any census before 1880. > >Urgently need this information so I can finish a story about William Austin, the >brave stagedriver of the Old West. > >Write to me by email. >
