Looking for any info on the parents of Eli Austin b. Sept 23, 1817 in Ct. somewhere. His parents were according to his death certificate Amos and Abigail. Not sure this is right. Eli could be related to a Arden Austin b. Feb. 28, 1796. Eli died July 5, 1888 in Elmira, Chemung Co., NY. He was married to Nancy Morris and had 12 children. Hezekiah, Amos, Moses, Eli Jr., Edwin, Polly Jane, Isaac, Mary Jane, Ardon, Harlan, Abby Eliza, and Martha. I have info on this family to share if anybody is interested. Thanks. HI, I received my g-grandmother's d. certificate in the mail, so now at least I know the names of her parents, but can't locate them. My g-grandmother Ida Mae Austin d. Mar. 26, 1900 in Bear Creek, MI. By using the birthdate calculator her b. date would be close to April 1, 1866. Her d. certificate shows her being born in Indiana, her marriage license says Ohio. Her parents are listed as IRA AUSTIN (place of b. unknown) and LYDIA STEVENS of Ohio. At the time of her marriage Ida was 17 and living in Little Traverse MI. Ira Austin and Lydia Stevens also had 2 sons, Arthur and Ted(nickname?) and one other dau. known to my father as Minie (again, prob nickname) who married a GREGG. Does anyone have anything on this Austin family? Thanks, Robbin -- Robbin Brainerd Brainerd-Brainard Genealogy http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Park/7294/ List Owner Brainerd-Brainard-L

Mary Lou, Michael Edward Austin and his wife Patricia Biebuyck Austin have done extensive research on the Samuel and Hopestill Austin line, recently uncovering new information on Hopestill. They have published their previous research in beautiful detailed narratives in their publication "Austins of America". I'm told it is available in all State Libraries, as well as major genealogical libraries. In addition, they have published the first 10 years of this research newsletter, including the Samuel descendancy, in a hard-bound indexed book called "Austins of America, Volume 1". I bought it several years ago, and have found it very useful. They've told me they will send you copies of the above Samuel descendancy, if you'll write them at Michael E. Austin, The Austin Print, 23 Allen Farm Lane, Concord, MA, 01742. Also, since that's Mike's line, I'm sure he would appreciate your information, since I noticed that Dolle Austin was not continued on in their article. Another source of the Samuel Austin line is on the Austin Family Assn of America's Web page. (This is another group that works closely with the previously mentioned Austins of America). AFAOA's Web site is http//www.rahul.net/afaoa. Hi I have Benjamin Austin as a son to Thomas & Hannah Austin. In fact today I was just going through the Vital records film at the LDS and I photocopied the page 16 June 1694 Benjamin Son of Thomas & Hannah Astin. This is in a seperate section of the records where someone wrote all the name and dates in order of birth. I also have a list from the gendex given Banjamin Austin married to Mary Stevens and ther third son is Benjamin Austin Jr also there 12 son is Benjamin Austin Jr. so I would asume the first one died and you are a decendant of the 12 child. I am sorry I did not get there marriage as it wasn't my line and the film is going back on the 25th. I won't get back to the library as I am going away for the weekend. Mary Lou

Does anyone recognize this AUSTIN? I have very little info on her but she was my great great grandmother. Maybe someone might recognize her in association with these other names. Per the 1900 Fannin Co, TX census: She was born Feb 1854, in South Carolina, as were both of her parents. She was married at that time to Dilliard L DEAL [b Jan 1830 TN] and was the mother of 3 children, 3 living, 1 at home who was my great grandmother Fannie Liza DEAL. We do know that she was previously married to a Mr. DAVIS who was the father of the other 2 children. They were James Whitfield DAVIS & Thomas Madison (Mac) DAVIS. I know it's not much to go on, but any clues would be appreciated. Thanks, Melissa Warner Scott
Look for the NORCAL list. Don't have address, sorry.

Hi David, I don't have the Austin book--any Austin book. Wish I did! Got some really conflicting info tho recently on this line. From various postings referring to two different Austin books. It was Nathaniel's line, but something's off somewhere and I don't know which to believe! Are you on the Austin-L list? Very confusing line! I know find I have 2 Elizabeth Jones to contend with, too. Lucky me! Completely unrelated lines as fas as I know... Keep in touch--we'll figure this out! Cyndi
Yes, Neva, please! Would like what you have on any Heaths and Haynes and Austins in GA from 1750. Very eager to find this bunch! Cyndi in Baltimore
