    3. Hello Everyone, I'll keep this brief. I have started a new mailing list for Webmasters of Family History Societies. Even though it says Aus, it is for NZ as well. I suppose I should have thought more about the name before I started it, but hey, it's done now. So all you Webmasters, come along. We can help each other update our links, and fix problems. 3. Trevor, I find this sort of posting to be extremely rude and invasive. It is usual practice to ask the list administrator first before plastering a message like this to the whole list. I'm sure you'd kick up if I appeared on your list with a message for everyone to join up with my list. I am on numerous lists and it amazes me that you actually had the cheek to do this! 1. [A.G.R. ] Compulsory Voting
    2. Mary O'Brien
    3. After 1901, would some one know when compulsory voting was introduced and who was eligible to vote? I know that women gradually gained the vote in each state over a number of years but I need to know how accurate voting lists would be when trying to locate where people lived. Any help would be appreciated. Regards, Mary

    3. Hi Trevor, FWIW, I didn't find your post either offensive or inappropriate. It's not like yours was a list setting up in opposition to this one, and it seems like a helpful idea for a specific, and relatively small, group. You're welcome to post your list information to either or both of my lists: Genealogy Queensland <[email protected]> IFHAA NSW North East <[email protected]> Regards Pamela At 18:37 23.09.01 +1000, Trevor Rhodes wrote: >I'll keep this brief.
