    3. Does anyone know how one goes about finding information on property ownership in England? According to a birth certificate for my great grandfather - Thomas STENNER, was born in Bedminster at 7 Bedminster Place in 1875. His mother - Sarah STENNER, has not listed any father for Thomas and so tracking down further information on them both is proving a little difficult. A search of the 1881 British Census says that 7 Bedminster Place was still in existance, although I would be interested to see who actually owned the property. Any clues or advice greatly received. The lands title system in England only came in to force in 1962, so not much help I am afraid. I believe that their system is based on our Torrens Title system.
