Hi Listers can sks please tell me where to look for passenger lists of families moving from Brisbane abt 1890 to Geelong or Port Henry [I think that's the port near Geelong] my GG's were in Geelong 1894 and I would like to know how they got there ?? The name I'm interested in is John & Maria ROBERTSON & their 6 or 7 children regards Deirdre deirdremc@bigpond.com

    3. Well yes, Point Henry is close to Geelong - where the Alcoa plant is nowadays. With a huge pier. About 5-10 min from Geelong by car. A lot of immigrants came through Point Henry apparently, though I have not checked this for myself. I suspect the port of Geelong, a couple of miles further up at the end of Corio Bay, was a separate port. It is now, although who knows about the administration side of it.
