Hello Annette, Mollie Gillen's book is a triumph. She has thoroughly researched every person who embarked on the 11 ships of the First Fleet - and it makes fascinating reading. Your Thomas Acres was quite a live-wire evidently and he has one of the longer entries. Any library should have a copy, so you should have no trouble getting hold of it. I believe that Mollie Gillen died only a few years ago. I hope she has a shrine somewhere.
