Hi I'm new to genealogy in Australia & the mailing list and am hoping someone may be able to help me, as I seem to have struck a brick wall. Am trying to find the birth of the children of William Browne & Eliza (nee: Little). Have been able to find the births of their first 5 children born in the Collingwood/Fitzroy areas between 1863 - 1871. However haven't been able to find any records for the births of their last 3 children. William born abt. 1874; Ellen/Nellie born abt. 1881 and Elizabeth born between 1874-1881. Possible that the family left Victoria for a time, but not sure.... When one of the daughters of William & Eliza married in Collingwood 1885 he is stated as being deceased. Have purchased several Victorian death certificates, unfortunately, still unable to find the right death for William Browne in Victoria. Again, I wonder if such was due to their being out of the State at the time. Have looked under both spelling of the surname, as both have been used at different times. Any help at all would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance.
