I realize this is an Australian research list - but I have been on the Scots Origins database twice - and look forward to another go with it. I am not sure what records you are looking up - but I found that there would be a chart come up and to the right hand side would be a column for the parish the even took place in - and some of the events did have more than year - but they all did provide a number for ordering of certs. Also before you enter into the paying portion of the site - there is a free search for surname which can be very beneficial for checking out surname variations that I have found helpful as well.
