Hello, I am looking for any information on the descendants of Thomas HILL who lived in Maldon from about 1854 to 1901. He had purchased a plot in the Maldon cemetery when his daughter died in 1867 but when Thomas himself died in 1901, he was buried in a public grave. In the years between, other people (unknown to me) were buried in the grave which Thomas had bought. The cemetery records even claim that one of these people had a public burial. If Thomas purchased the plot, why would it say that someone else did?
