Constable Dismissed. - From the Tamworth Constabulary, on 8th January, Jeremiah O'MULLEN for insubordination, and racing a Government horse for a wager, and drunkenness. The following description of Jeremiah O'MULLEN and John DONOHOE, late of Tamworth Police, is published at the request of the Police magistrate, to prevent their being again employed in the Government service: - Jeremiah O' MULLEN, aged 33 years, height 5 feet 10 inches, ruddy complexion, down looking, hair brown, eyes grey, scar on the right cheek, was formerly a private in the 11th Regiment, has been in the Police at Warwick, Drayton, and Warilda, and dismissed from Tamworth for gross misconduct on the 8th instant. John DONOHOE, aged 45, height 5 feet 6 inches, ruddy complexion, brown hair, mixed with grey, formerly a prisoner of the Crown, and lived with Major DRUIT. This man entered into a combination with O'MULLEN, and tendered his resignation; he also was in company with O'MULLEN when they allowed a prisoner to escape, but was not the constable who had full charge of the escort."
