    2. Hi Denise, I have a friend in America and we have exchanged videos etc, and they work fine on my VCR. I agree with Jacqui Cunningham though, that it may only be certain 'newer' model VCR's that can play them, as I remember (vaguely *G*) discussing this with the salesperson when I bought mine. It was a few years ago now though, so they don't have to be THAT new :) Oh yeah, and mine was not an expensive one by any means. I now have an American video in front of me, and the sticker on it gives the brand as TDK HS (Super Avilyn) and the number on the actual black casing says T160HS. This may or may not be of any use, but you never know. Good luck. 3. Hi Denise, Cheryl and All. As Cheryl said, it is not that "newer" We purchased ours 18 months before the movie Free Willy came out as our friends had sent the video to my boys as a Xmas present. that is a few years back now. At the time it was about the same price for one that played the US videos, but dearer by a long way for one that would record in that medium. Cheers Jacqui Cunningham Central Victoria http://www.oldnewscopy.com "It's Old News!" > Hi Denise, > > I have a friend in America and we have exchanged videos etc, and they work fine on my VCR.
