    3. Hi All, The below small paragraph is full of info on the above names. Just amazing what can be gleaned from one report. I was also interested to see that the stolen female wearing apparel still belonged to Hugh BURKE. Must have been hard for the women to leave home in those days!. Crime reports. Joseph LYNAM of Brawlin, and George MCCARTHY, of Gabben Gullen, are charged with committing rape and robbery upon Ellen BURKE, of Breadalbaine Plains, at 11 o'clock a.m., on the 11th February, 1855; and supposed to have gone to Gabben Gullen, in the direction of the Yass District. Descriptions; - Joseph LYNAM, about 5 feet 2 ½ inches in height, fair complexion, light hair, dressed in tweed. George MCCARTHY, about 5 feet 5 inches in height, about 22 years of age, dark complexion, black hair, dressed in a light grey trousers and red regatta shirt, a jockey. Description of property stolen; _ A great coat, a vest, a pair of ear-rings, a brooch, and several articles of female wearing apparel, these things are the property of Hugh BURKE. The abovenamed Joseph LYNAM is the son of a shoemaker of that name residing between the residence of John Francis MCARTHUR, Esq., Norwood, and Mr. John FLECKNOE of Brawlin. George MCCARTHY is well known about the Gabben Gullen, his mother formerly kept a public house near Wheeo, and has been thrice married; he rode a horse belonging to a Mr. MCGRATH, of Collector, on the Goulburn Course, on Monday last, the 8th instant. A warrant has been issued by the Goulburn Bench, and a reward of £10 is offered by Hugh BURKE, for their apprehension."
