Annie had an older? sister, Nellie, who I understand, married a DANBY and became part of the FASNACHT-DANBY (Fasnaught?-Danby) TROUPE of comedians and dancers who toured the Music Halls in Northern England and Scotland in the late 1800's/early 1900's. Annie is thought to have left the UK, possibly bound for AUSTRALIA, sometime after 1909, (there is a remote possibility that she may have married a McMann, Mc Mahon or Mann). There is a connection to the village of CRAKEHALL in NORTH YORKSHIRE, ENGLAND where the DANBY name appears. Perhaps "Annie" was a family name for Anne or Mary Anne and "Nellie" possibly Ellen or Eleanor?
