    3. On my trip to the States last month to a family reunion, I was asked if I would like to have a copy of the video taken on the day. We now are wondering if their videos over there will work on ours here. I have heard not. So I am hoping a lister may be able to tell me what type of videos we have here. Sorry to be vague about this, but I am useless even when it comes to turning the stupid thing on. The rellie works at a Uni and the media department is prepared to do whatever is necessary to put the video onto the appropriate type regards Denise

    3. Dear Denise, I met with that same problem. I live in Arizona and here in the USA we have the VHS system. In Australia they have the PAL system. If you can find a transcribing service that can put the VHS into its machine and a blank in the PAL machine and get the two machines to "talk to each other", you should have a tape that you can view. On the other hand, if you have the same cam corder that they used at the reunion, you can view it on the cam corder and look at a 2inch x 2 inch screen to see what the reunion was all about. hope this helps, cheers, Beverly Markham. Life on Earth is Expensive, but at least you get a free trip around the sun....... So wear a hat and enjoy the ride!

    3. Dear Denise, As far as I know they will not work in Australia, you will have to take it and have it converted to our system. OK if from the UK. Sorry about that. I used to get my sister to send the latest Walt Disney films for my kids as we in Australia would get them a few years later and I had them converted. Best wishes Amanda
