Hi everyone, I would like to hear from anyone researching David Jones (a builder) who built 'The Towers' at 31 Forsyth Street, Belmore, NSW in 1888. David Jones experienced financial difficulties in 1898 and sold the home to Robert James Forsyth, a rope manufacturer. The Towers remained in the Forsyth family until being purchased by the War Services Homes Commission in 1920. In 1941 Alfred Claude Fletcher, a descendant of David Jones, purchased The Towers and lived in the home until his death in 1987. Kind regards, Sherrie Blackman. Sydney.
