    3. Hi Marg and Mary, According to the Guide to Supreme Court of NSW Probate Index 1800-1984, the abbreviation "prs" (all lower case) signifies "Grant made on presumption of death". I imagine this may be significant in your research as it sounds to me like this would be a person who went missing, or whose death was not otherwise certain? OTOH, if it is "P.rs" it denotes "PROBATE RESEAL". Whatever that means. You'd think they'd use abbreviations that wouldn't be so easily confused. <shrug> Anyway, hope this helps.
