    3. Hello, I found the below report and thought it amusing in how they describe the felon. I'm glad I don't "want a left hand"!! Cheers Jacqui www.oldnewscopy.com.au "It's Old News!" Victoria Police Gazette, May 8, 1856, page 167. Extracts from N.S.W. Crime reports. "The name of Mr. W. GLASSON was forged to a cheque for £37 on the Union Bank of Australia, Bathurst, by D.H. DAVIDSON, on or before the 14th day of February last, at King's Plains, near Carcoar. DAVIDSON is about 5 feet 9 inches high, grey hair, walks erect, wants the left hand, and represents himself as a pensioner, and that he belonged to either the 60th or 95th Rifles, and was present at the battle of Waterloo, and wears a medal, is a great snuff taker, and generally follows the occupation of schoolmaster or clerk, is a Scotchman, and is now about 56 or 60 years of age. A warrant has been issued by the Carcoar Bench for his apprehension, and is now in the hands of the Chief Constable. Frederick Alman DINGER of North Logan, offer a reward of £2 for the apprehension of the above-described D.H. DAVIDSON."
