The numbering system for Albert Park ( i.e. Barrett Street with No.1 commencing at Victoria Avenue end(tram) and ending with No.72 near the South Melbourne Gas Works Foote Street. After the number changes former No.1 became 72 and former No.72 reverted to No.1 Re: Postal Districts - Elsternwick was S.4, Elsternwick East S.4 and Elsternwick North being also S.4.
