I may have to ask for your help in a couple of years when I have exhausted all avenues I can find for finding gg grandpa who seems at the moment to be about 175 years old and still going strong. My feeling is he eother died in a mining accident (checked the lists, not there)or more likely vanished -with some other woman maybe - and that fact brought on early labour as the last child was prem and died just one day old. Dad was NOT the informant on either that last ubirth or death which was unusal for that family. 5 years later gg gran dies in Melbourne hospital (they were at Daylesford 5 years ealier) and the death cert is all unknown even as to the married and children fields - just native of Cambridgeshire, almost correct age and length of time in colony, and the name. Died of cancer of womb and ovaries, poor lady - I nearly cried when I got her death cert. It is unusual to have two inquests on the same person, but it is possible, with an exhumation and re-discovery of some evidence (e.g. poison) not tested in the original inquest. However, it is most unusual. The first surmise is that there are two people involved. Now, I hope you will look into this and put me out of my misery... I love the unusual and apparent contradictions, and particularly if I can learn something that may be useful for others doing research. I love to drop little gems and examples into my guest speaker talks, and they help other people who might never have thought that "the different" was possible.
