BlankGreetings listers, I'm wondering if anyone could help me please as I'm trying to help a friend who is just starting to research his family This is what he's looking for, if you could help it would be very much appreciated. Regards, Ray. What I need first is access to SA birth, death, and marriage records. Family info says that my gggrandfather was James Donaldson. He married Catherine Johnston in ADELAIDE in 1839. He was born in Scotland in 1812. I'd like to: 1. confirm that marriage 2. locate children of the couple. There was at least one, William, who subsequently went to Western Australia 3. get death records for all concerned 4. see whether Catherine re-married (or had a husband and children prior to James Donaldson) as there is someone by the name of Robert Wilson Reid buried with William Donaldson in Perth and the tombstone inscription refers to a dead brother (presumably a half-brother) 5. And of course it would be nice to identify the ship and date of immigration. Has to be between 1812 and 1839, and most likely was to Adelaide. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
