Thanks for this Sheelagh. It seems that all the SATCHERs who came to Australia 1870-1880s were related. I can locate three SATCHERs so far (1xNSW, 2xQLD) and they are all related. One in QLD married a LESLIE in Qld in 1880 and has dropped off the radar totally after having Henry Giles LESLIE in 1881 and James LESLIE in 1883. LESLIE is a fairly common name and SATCHER is not in Australia. I am hoping that someone has Emily Ruth LESLIE (nee SATCHER) in their Australian line and we can exchange information.
