Dear All, Many thanks to all who responded to my request a few weeks ago. The response has been marvelous and where possible I have thanked all privately. However I received another cutting today anonymously per snail mail from the Age of 5th July, so I thank this person for this. Doug was Tasmanian born and moved to Victoria as a youngster before his cricket career began, and in all took part in 12 or 13 tests to 1953 including the famous Test of 1948. Sadly there was little recognition locally in Tas of his career! Cheers, Maree
